Art Weekend Aarhus,
2019
Aarhus based visual artist, Anne Dyhr and I went to art school together (1995-1998) but only started working together in 2018. HEMSLEY/DYHR investigate among other things domestic rituals, maternal relationships and memories through handicraft, photography and installation.
Putting in place / Hjemme igen unfolded in three shop windows and a private kitchen window, which houses the exhibition space Hjemme igen (Home again). The three shops are run by women from Denmark, Iran and Vietnam. All four spaces refer to the lives of women over time. HEMSLEY/DYHR investigates these female references through handicraft and memories.

Glasgow Project Room, 2016
Glasgow based visual artist, Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir and I started working together in 2001. We have since exhibited in Copenhagen (2002) and Glasgow (2001, 2002, 2016). It is a true meeting of practices, a collage of our working methods and processes, where we patchwork a form of expression together and create works in true collaboration.
With You Without You, an installation-based exhibition exploring scale and the notion of wearability. Sculpture as jewellery. Jewellery as sculpture. Objects placed in a room, but to be imagined on the body. A collage of fine art principles, the use of space, traditional craft techniques and the idea of adornment.
